Safety first
The checks that make a heater boring — in the best way
Malaysian bathrooms have seen too many heater accidents, almost all traceable to missing earth connections or bypassed ELCBs. Before we sign off any install or repair, four things must pass:
Working ELCB
We trip-test the ELCB protecting the heater circuit at the board. If it doesn't cut within spec, we replace it before energising.
Correct cable sizing
A 3.6kW instant heater on ageing 1.5mm² cable is a slow fire. We verify the run and upgrade it where needed.
Pressure & relief
Storage units get their relief valve tested and discharge piped safely — the difference between a heater and a kettle bomb.

Typical numbers, before you commit
Instant heater replacement using your new unit: from RM160 labour. Supply-and-install packages with mid-range brands: RM420–RM750 all-in. Storage heater installs: quoted after confirming wall structure and circuit, usually RM380–RM680 labour plus materials. Servicing: RM120 per unit, RM90 each for two or more. Written quote before any work, always.
