Cookie Policy

Effective 1 March 2026 · Covers the website mealdesk.my only

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Ours is a brochure site for a repair crew, so we keep the list short. Here is every cookie this site can set, in one honest table of prose.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These make basic features work and are set without asking, because the site cannot function correctly without them:

  • PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) — issued when you load a page, it carries the security token that protects our enquiry form from forged submissions. It expires when you close the browser and identifies your session, not your person.
  • Consent record (cc_cookie) — set the moment you press Accept or Reject on the cookie banner, it remembers that choice so we stop asking. It lasts six months and contains only your consent selections.

2. Analytics cookies — only with your consent

If (and only if) you opt in via the banner, we count page views anonymously to learn which repair guides people actually read. These counts contain no names or contact details and we do not attempt to identify anyone from them. Press Reject and the site behaves identically — you just don't appear in the tally.

3. What we deliberately don't use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind.
  • No social media tracking pixels.
  • No cross-site identifiers or fingerprinting techniques.

One practical note: links on this site open WhatsApp when you tap them. WhatsApp is a separate service with its own privacy terms that apply once you're in the app — nothing on our side follows you there.

4. Changing your mind

Every page of this site has a Cookie Preferences button in the footer. It reopens the consent panel where you can switch analytics on or off; the change takes effect immediately. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings at any time — the banner will simply greet you again on the next visit, memory wiped.

5. Browser-level control

All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies globally under Settings → Privacy. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will not break your reading experience here, but the enquiry form's security check requires the session cookie to submit successfully — if the form ever bounces you back unexpectedly, this is usually why.

6. Questions

Anything unclear, or a cookie you spotted that isn't described here? Tell us at [email protected] and we'll investigate and update this page. Related reading: our Privacy Policy covers personal data beyond the browser.
